TOP 100 triumph: PRIMEPEOPLE named a 2018 innovation leader

PRIMEPEOPLE named a 2018 innovation leader

Now in its 25th year, the TOP 100 competition has once again honored the most innovative SMEs in Germany. PRIMEPEOPLE GmbH is among the select group of innovation leaders to have triumphed in the analysis conducted by Prof. Nikolaus Franke, scientific head of TOP 100. On 29 June 2018, Franke himself joined TOP 100 mentor Ranga Yogeshwar and compamedia in presenting the award to the Stuttgart-based company as part of the 5th German SME Summit in Ludwigsburg. In the course of the independent selection process, the 25-strong firm performed particularly well in the “Processes and Organization” category.

PRIMEPEOPLE GmbH is a leading IT personnel consultancy that identifies and evaluates highly qualified managers and IT experts for all hierarchy levels. Digitization is not only the dominant topic of interest among clients – this Stuttgart-based TOP 100 company is itself well prepared for the transformations resulting from increased utilization of IT. For example, PRIMEPEOPLE has now developed an online portal to provide clients with access to all information concerning a particular project: candidate profiles, contracts, agreements, and candidate feedback following interviews. Candidates can also view and edit the information relating to their profile online at any time, subject of course to the strict supervision of the in-house data protection officer. And a dedicated company wiki promotes knowledge transfer among the company’s 25 staff.

The consultants also draw inspiration from their everyday work, where their highly observant approach helps them identify new developments. “Every two weeks, we pack up our notebooks and go to work at start-up centers to see what is driving current and future IT experts,” states CEO Rainer Mayer. “You must go out into the world in order to understand the next generation and provide the right advice.” This lofty goal also sees the team undertake voluntary work, such as helping disadvantaged people look for jobs and talking to young soccer players about their strengths off the field.

The TOP 100 competition: Since 1993, compamedia has awarded the TOP 100 seal in recognition of outstanding innovative strength and above-average innovative success among SMEs. Having served as scientific head of TOP 100 since 2002, Prof. Nikolaus Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Vienna University of Economics and Business. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar serves as the mentor of TOP 100, with project partners including the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW). manager magazin, impulse, and W&V support the company comparison process in their role as media partners.
