In historical terms, personality analysis is primarily based on the works of Carl Gustav Jung, the father of analytical psychology. It is Jung’s theory of psychological types that has had the greatest influence on personality typology and inspired numerous other theories, including ours. Jung developed the concept of introversion and extroversion, claiming that each of us belongs to one of these two categories as a result of being focused either on the inner world (introverted) or the outer world (extroverted).
Jung’s theory was taken up again in the 1960s by Katherine Briggs, who worked with her daughter to develop one of the best-known personality indicators. This system, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), is the foundation of our PPS tool.
